Lenten Book Studies

I mentioned over the weekend that I would post the links to a couple of blogs who will be going through the book together this Lent–here they are (This post will be updated when and if new information is collected).

Simply Striving, With Nikki Laven. Nikki graciously and generously wrote the foreword for my book. She and I walked the hard road of redemption last Lent together and for the months that followed and when I knew the experience would become a book, she’s the first person that came to mind. She and I comforted and encouraged each others hearts in emails and phone calls all through that difficult season and I continue to thank God for the way He knit Nikki into my life, even if it was through much pain. She will be posting her way through the book starting this Wednesday (Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent). I know if you join her, you will be greatly blessed and encouraged.

Living Life Write

Living Life Write with Lauren Huss. Personally, I am new to Lauren’s blog, but when she reached out to me to ask about hosting a book study of my book during Lent, I gladly responded and spent some time perusing her blog. Lauren is such an encouraging writer with an obvious heart for Jesus. her study also begins on Wednesday and will be held weekly on wednesdays, through Lent. I have no doubt you’ll enjoy her book study as well.

If you’re a twitter ninja, my good friend, Larri plans to tweet her way through the book with others who are also reading. I’d never heard of a twitter book club before Larri mentioned this to me, and I have to say, I love it! you can follow her on twitter: @Seamsinspired and send her a tweet, telling her to add you to her list. The hash tag for the book is #HoleyWhollyHoly

A few others have mentioned to me that they will be blogging about the book during Lent, but not necessarily hosting a series. You can read those posts HERE (scroll down to the bottom of the post on that page for the link-up and check back often, because they will continually be added as more people share their thoughts on the book.)

A note about what God is doing:

So far, nearly 800 people have downloaded the book! In addition to that awesomeness, 3 churches have contacted me for permission to use the book in their congregations this Lent. God is doing something amazing with this, friends. Praise Him with me, would you–and join us for what promises to be a blessed and challenging Lenten season.

One more thing:

I’m collecting photos of those who have the book to add to a short video, if you have a copy of Holey, Wholly, Holy, on your laptop, phone, or a bound version, would you take a photo of yourself with it and sent it to me? Email it to kris@AlwaysAlleluia.com, subject “HWH Photo” I would love to include you in the video!
