Girlfriend, I need to tell you something today, we need your story.
Your life is a story written by God. Though you’re living it now, He recorded every line of your life before you were even born.
Your eyes saw my unformed substance;
in your book were written, every one of them,
the days that were formed for me,
when as yet there was none of them. (Psalm 139:16)
In a world full of voices and stories, it’s easy to believe that our small life doesn’t matter as much as someone else’s. Can I tell you how I’ve believed this sometimes? I have. I have discounted my own stories, believing that because I’m not well known, or don’t have the coolest shoes, and an unlimited budget, or because I’m not part of particular inner rings, that my story–my life–is somehow less important than the lives of others.
Let’s just end this craziness right now. THAT stuff? That’s enemy territory. You don’t need a sheet of qualifications for your life story to count. Christ qualifies you. His death was sufficient for ALL the people. Including you. PERIOD.
You search out my path and my lying down
and are acquainted with all my ways.
Even before a word is on my tongue,
behold, O Lord, you know it altogether.
You hem me in, behind and before,
and lay your hand upon me. (psalm 139:3-5)
You? Your life? Your miraculous life-story of the every day? It ALL matters. It matters because God writes our stories. He is the Master author and let’s be honest–He writes the best stories. Nobody can write a life the way He can.
We need your story because your story is part of a bigger one. There’s something bigger happening than what we see within the folds of our own lives. You are not alone. The words you say, the interactions you have–it all affects other people, and so the ripple goes out from each one of us, as we move through our days.
So maybe you’re scared.
Maybe you don’t feel welcome in certain spaces.
Maybe spending time in the company of other women has burned you, and left you scarred.
Maybe you don’t know anyone else who might be there.
Would you come anyway? It won’t cost you anything to say “yes”. (Yes, lady, I’m for real, it’s FREE)
I’ll be there, along with a handful of beautiful other souls, each one of us sharing our stories–and hoping to connect with you through them.
You can join us in your jammies, or in your jeans. You can attend a scheduled meet up, or host your own! (Register HERE, FREE, remember?)
